Copy & Paste Photos in Independent Photoshop Layers

The Adobe Photoshop program poses an array of tools that are implemented to solve the editing purpose of enhancing the image quality, size, etc. It offers the facility to apply different layers one over the other to form a single image. Every layer that is used can be further edited and customized separately. In case a user prefers to paste an image into the Photoshop, a new layer is automatically formed by the Photoshop to where the user can paste the object other than using the existing layer. To precede one can further merge layers together. The following points clear the method to be used for the purpose of copying, pasting and merging layers:
  • Click to open the required Photoshop file.
  • Choose a photo to be added, copy it. Now click on the requisite layer to highlight where you prefer to paste the photo.
  • Navigate to the “Edit” menu and choose “Paste”. Once selected, Photoshop automatically pastes the image in a new layer right over selected the layer.
  • Now, shift the pasted object to the preferred location. This is an important step before the procedure of merging is implied on the layers.
  • While pressing the Ctrl key and select the layer you prefer to paste into and the consecutive layer with the pasted object. Both of the layers get selected.
  • Next, right click on any one of the highlighted layers and choose “Merge layers”. Once selected, the bottom layer and the pasted object get combined into a single layer.
