- Click to open the required Photoshop file.
- Choose a photo to be added, copy it. Now click on the requisite layer to highlight where you prefer to paste the photo.
- Navigate to the “Edit” menu and choose “Paste”. Once selected, Photoshop automatically pastes the image in a new layer right over selected the layer.
- Now, shift the pasted object to the preferred location. This is an important step before the procedure of merging is implied on the layers.
- While pressing the Ctrl key and select the layer you prefer to paste into and the consecutive layer with the pasted object. Both of the layers get selected.
- Next, right click on any one of the highlighted layers and choose “Merge layers”. Once selected, the bottom layer and the pasted object get combined into a single layer.
